Receiving

Reiki Attunements

The process of attunement or initiation is what sets Reiki apart from other forms of hands-on healing.  It is extremely important to realize that the attunement does not give you anything new.  It is an initiation that facilitates what you really are already capable of.  The attunement is a process that happens between the Reiki Master/Teacher and the student.  As the auras of the two people meld together, the student’s energy channels open and obstructions or blockages start to release.  In other words, the density that the student has acquired over their lifetime begins to lift from their subtle and physical body grid.  Each time a person receives an attunement, a larger percentage of this density releases.  With less obstruction, the light of the Universe flows brighter and more in phase, like a coherent laser beam.  It is the attunements themselves that are Reiki, and without this process, the healing system is not Reiki but something else). . . . As with all holistic healing methods, Reiki proposes that imbalances in the body’s subtle energy field result in illness, and that by restoring balance, health can be restored.  Imbalances may involve energy depletion, excess, or stagnation.  With practice and intentionality we can learn to intuitively sense areas of imbalance in ourselves and others, and to direct the subtle energies during healing whether working in person or across space and time.

In the HAI Usui Reiki II Course, you will learn about and be attuned to Second Degree Reiki, also called Okuden in some Japanese branches.  Second Degree Reiki focuses on healing at the emotional and mental level.  Reiki II clears negative emotion and thought patterns, assists with addictions, and heals past lives.  It is at this level that you will learn and practice distance healing.  In distance healing, Reiki can be sent to someone at another location nearby, around the world, or beyond the world.  With distance healing, we can even heal the earlier years in this life as well as our past lives or karma.  It is at this level that you will receive the Power, Emotional and Mental, and Distant Healing Symbols.  Symbol meanings and how to put them into practice are taught.  Once again you are asked to develop your personal practice before moving on to the Third Level.  The Second Degree training will prepare you to practice the healing system of Reiki at a professional level.

With this course, you will receive a Usui Reiki Level II Course Handbook written by Usui Reiki Level III Master Teacher and Practitioner Dr. Theda Renee Floyd.  The author has been a Licensed Registered Nurse for twenty-five years; has earned Degrees in Metaphysics and Holistic Health, and Certification as a Nurse Energy Healer; and is a Registered Reiki Master Teacher and Practitioner with the International Association of Reiki Professionals.  You will also receive an HAI developed course workbook.  When you have been attuned and all course requirements have been met, you will receive a personalized Certificate with our gold embossed seal stating that you have been awarded the title of Usui Reiki Level II Practitioner.  You may then use the appropriate initials RP II after your name.
