Can
I enroll in a course or program at any time?
Because HAI’s typical student is an adult learner with family and
professional responsibilities, our flexible learning format works within your
own schedule. You may enroll at any time
and progress at your own pace as the rest of your life plan allows. Although, learning at HAI is self-paced, we
do ask that all courses and programs be completed within two years of the
initial enrollment date.
How long will it take to complete my course or program?
Most of our courses require about sixty
hours of study time. Some students are
able to complete a course in as little as two weeks, while others may take a
month or more. Our programs then, each
consisting of three to twelve courses, can easily be completed within one to
two years or even less with a regular study routine.

May
I waive courses I have already taken at another school?
With the exception of the HHP Program,
you may receive credit for up to two courses per program for course work
previously completed with another institution.
We are happy to review transcripts of previous course work prior to
enrollment so you will know the actual course requirements for your program of
choice. Please send transcript review requests to admissions@holisticartsinstitute.com
so that our Director may determine the transferability of courses previously
completed.
What
kind of educational background do I need?
At HAI, we believe that students who can exhibit the desire,

or physician, our doors are open.

What are the courses like?
The structure of each HAI course
provides a pathway for learning and facilitates the comprehensive study of a
topic. Our courses are all taught
through a distance learning format.
Courses consist of one or more textbooks, handbooks, or CDs, plus
an HAI developed workbook. Presented in
a number of modules, the course workbook leads you step-by-step through reading
and writing assignments, progress tests, and a final exam. Most courses require projects that are
designed to bring a practical dimension to your studies.
How
does distance education work?
Upon enrollment you will be sent
materials necessary to complete your course or program. You will read and study the texts (and
supplementary material, if applicable) and then complete course assignments,
which are designed to carry you through the text. Most courses have progress tests and a final
exam. The exam questions vary in format
and may be multiple choice, fill in the blank, true/false, or short essay
questions.
What if I have questions concerning my
coursework?
If you need help or have questions or
concerns you can email faculty@holisticartsinstitute.com or call
916-644-3168.

it is completed?

coursework?
We make every effort to grade exams as quickly as possible. Our current turn around time is three to four
weeks. A passing score is 80%; anyone
who scores lower than this is offered an opportunity to repeat those sections
that do not meet this standard. When all
of your academic and financial requirements have been met, you will receive an
official course transcript along with your personalized course certificate. Additionally,
when all of the courses required for your program are completed, you will then
receive an official program transcript along with your personalized program
certificate or diploma.

environments that are conducive to holistic health.
What

Students are responsible for
determining the legal issues involved in conducting a holistic health practice
in their state or locality. We recommend
you contact your state or local government for legal interpretations as the
laws differ from place to place. In
addition, we encourage you to conduct Internet research, and visit your public
library for additional information as it is important for you to know what your
legal boundaries are as a practitioner.
