Letting Go of Unforgiveness

Forgiveness is said to be the ultimate step in healing.  Forgiveness uses the compassion of the heart to understand situations in terms of the forces that were acting on both ourselves and others.  We may still passionately disagree with the action or actions taken.  We may say, rightfully, that we would never have done such a thing.  We may even need something from the other person in order to allow forgiveness—an apology, an acknowledgement of harm, or restitution perhaps.  But in the end, forgiveness allows the heart to lighten and move on; it is the redemptive action of the heart. . . . MORE!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate;

our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

In the HAI Guiding for Spiritual Growth Course, you will explore a world trend developing in our time toward the synthesis of the practical and the spiritual.  The practical or personal experience emphasizes an outward orientation to the mastery of the self through the mastery of some part of the outer world.  The spiritual or transpersonal experience emphasizes an inward orientation to the mastery of self through the mastery of one's inner world.  You will come to recognize that these two dimensions are complimentary perspectives which can be brought together in a healing synthesis.  Two versions of healing synthesis exist, the Eastern and the Western, each with its own cultural emphasis.  These two systems are merged in a multidimensional process which supports the potential development of the individual from the level of the personal to that of the universal.  You will discover:  psychosynthesis is a synonym for human growth, the ongoing process of integrating all the parts, aspects, and energies of the individual into a harmonious, powerful whole; being a whole person is a process, not an end point, and all of us who intend to help others in spiritual guiding capacity need to be deeply dedicated to our own growing self-awareness; true healing comes from the wisdom within each person; and the spiritual guide’s primary responsibility is to help clients get in touch with and utilize that wisdom.  As such, you will come to recognize that this holistic system of human development offers an integrated, theoretical framework from which to practice the art of holistic healing.  Various exercises, case studies, session transcripts, and an individual project support learning.
